GLOBAL by ENEA. The name of this chair comes from the very premise that the product itself is based upon, the result of an important research process to adapt the materials used to the needs of the product. The GLOBAL range has been designed to solve the problems represented by chairs both in domestic environments as well as in the public domain: functionality, comfort, lightness, sturdiness, stacking, production and price. This is a chair designed along simple lines, using ?soft? forms to create an inviting seat and backrest, which suggest comfort and give the rigid plastic version a look similar to that of upholstery. In terms of the manufacturing processes, highly technological construction systems have been used with considerable investment being made in moulds and original casts, enabling us to obtain an extremely high quality product with the possibility of multiple finishes at a competitive price. The GLOBAL model is stackable in all of its versions, even when dealing with chairs connected together to form rows. It also offers the possibility of incorporating a side writing tablet at either of the two ends, which can be stored underneath the seating, and which as a result does not obstruct stacking. The seat is constructed in two pieces which when joined together completely cover the interior structure. In the case of the chairs being stacked on top of each other, this design prevents the interior structure from coming into contact with the upper surface of the seat stacked underneath it. As a result, possible damage through scuffing or scratching when the chairs come into contact with each other can be avoided. The lightness of this design is due to the use of materials such as polypropylene in the seat and backrest and polyamide in the armrests, with the structure and legs produced in steel. GLOBAL is produced with and without armrests and with castors for use in offices. In addition, there is also a low bench version. In the design and manufacturing process, we should also point out the notable ecological aspect of this design, given that all the materials used in this model are recyclable. Each component can be easily separated thanks to the screw-in manufacturing system that has been used.
