DAKOTA Lamp DAKOTA is a halogen lamp that is available in floor lamp and wall-mounted versions. In both cases the basic materials are: moulded aluminium for the stand, pressed and frosted glass for the lampshade and steel for the diffuser. The use of these materials is not arbitrary. On the contrary, each one of these materials responds to a very precise function: the glass in the shade has been used to achieve a diaphanous light source, which is reflected off the ceiling and spread towards the floor. The chrome plated steel used in the diffuser has been designed to dissipate heat and to avoid the halogen lamps from over-heating. Lastly, the aluminium in the stand has been used to make the product lighter. In the case of DAKOTA in its floor lamp version, the base has been covered in moulded polyurethane to lend greater stability to the product. The electrical equipment complies with international quality and safety standards. Produced by: Metalarte Year of design: 1986 Year of production: 1987 www.metalarte.com
