Packaging for milk

Production year: 1997

ATO packaging for milk, designed by Josep LLuscà. The improvements introduced into this packaging are basically functional. We were interested in combining convenience in handling, storing the packaging in the refrigerator and easy packing. To achieve this, it was decided that the most suitable solution was to square the traditionally circular bottle by giving it four sides. The new quadrangular milk carton fits easily into the door shelf of any refrigerator. It can be held securely in the hand, even if the bottle is wet, and also makes packing easier at the same time as minimising the amount of storage space required. As the design has four sides that can be labelled, this makes it easier to identify on the supermarket shelf, which is where the ATO brand of fresh milk is stored. The broad opening of the packaging makes it easy to pour the milk and also avoids splashing. Produced by: Celbasa-Ato Year of design: 1997 Year of production: 1997
