Waste paper bin HALL

HALL is a collection of accessories for public spaces made up of: waste paper bin, umbrella stand and ashtray-waste paper bin. The three objects are derived from a cylindrical form, which constitutes the central feature of the design, into which a panel has been inserted to serve as a support. The umbrella stand has attempted to resolve the problem of storing full-size as well as smaller folding umbrellas. For the first of these, the classic metal ring has been used to act as a support. The solution for the smaller umbrellas lies in reducing the height of the cylindrical container, incorporating a rim from which the smaller umbrellas can be hung. In terms of the ashtray-waste paper bin, the first of these has a semi-spherical form. A simple and convenient solution has been provided for the cavity section, positioning a pressed glass ashtray inside the polypropylene structure, which can be easily removed and emptied when required. All the objects in the HALL series are manufactured in two versions: a simple version that can be wall-mounted, and a double version for increased capacity. The support panel and the base are produced in moulded polypropylene and the cylinders are formed in steel sheeting. The finishes are blue coloured plastic with grey metal, and anthracite coloured plastic with aluminium ? Ral 9006 ? or black coloured metal.
